You may ask why we even celebrate the fourth of July?
On July 4th, the Continental Congress formally adopted the Declaration of Independence. Though the vote for actual independence took place on July 2nd, we celebrate the fourth as the birth of American independence.
The Declaration of Independence states three basic ideas: Its goals were to rally the troops, win foreign allies, and to announce the creation of a new country.
We need to be Thankful for our Freedom! We need to be thankful for all of those that gave their life to protect that, Freedom!
