May 11 is Hostess Cupcake Day!! This is to celebrate the date in 1919 when the first Hostess Cupcake was sold. Two cupcakes sold at that time for 5 cents!! Do you remember the first one you had? Which was your favorite…the “all” chocolate, golden, sprinkles, orange, s’mores, or strawberry? So many choices but each one was unique with cream in the middle! Perhaps you shared and gave one to your friend or maybe you were stingy and ate both! You’re probably wondering how this applies to taxes…well, look at it this way, think about the cake part as your work and the cream part as your investments. You work hard to protect your investments, right? Just like the cake covers the cream…you can’t enjoy it without breaking the cake!!
